We have five goats on the farm, and they are so much fun.  Goats have great personalities, and they are very playful and responsive.  Our goats names are Wilma, Ethel, Lenny, Carl, and Louise (nicknamed Weezie).

Louise (Weezie)

Weezie is a 2 year old Nubian goat.  She is VERY sweet, and loves attention.  Weezie had a baby boy in February of this year.  This is a picture of Weezie's baby "Obi."

Lenny & Carl

Lenny and Carl are twins and were born last February.  They are 1/2 Nubian and 1/2 LaMancha goats. One funny thing about LaMancha's is that they don't have ears, which makes them look a little bit silly. Nubians have very long ears.  So Lenny and Carl have elf ears, since they are a cross.  They look pretty ridiculous!

Wilma & Ethel

The "girls" hanging out on the picnic table, with Leroy looking on.

Ethel snoozing on the front porch, with sister Wilma nearby in the flower bed.

Our two little girls are named Wilma and Ethel.  They are absolutely adorable and love to frolick around the yard together.  The sisters are two of the most codependent creatures we've ever seen--they can't stand to be apart from each other.

Wilma and Ethel are Nigerian Dwarf goats.  Nigerian Dwarfs are quite popular in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, but nationally they are considered a rare breed, with only about 7,000 in the national registry.  They are a miniature breed of dairy goat, so even as adults they will only reach about knee height.  As adults, they will produce up to two quarts of milk per day.  What they lack in stature they make up in personality, as Wilma and Ethel are an absolute joy to watch as they skip, jump, and climb on everything in sight.
